"I've added two new items to my playlist but these will not appear on my screen and old information that I've deleted is still on display. What can be wrong?"
The following solutions can solve this issue:
- The playlist is not activated?
When you publish or make changes in a playlist, you must activate it by clicking "Activate the playlist now", see the green border at the bottom. After clicking "Activate the playlist now" it will take at least one minute for the changes to appear on the screen.
If you do not click on the "Activate the playlist now" button it may take up to 10 minutes before the changes to appear on the screen.
- Does the media player have a working network connection?
In PLAYipp manager you can see if a media player is online or not. You can see the status of your screens in the dashboard. Click on the symbol to see a list of the screen status of all players. Troubleshoot your network connection by using one of our troubleshooting guides depending on the media player. All troubleshooting guides can be found here.
- Is a media player connected to the location you are trying to publish to?
Verify that a media player is connected to the location your are publishing on. You can verify this by clicking Structure located in the MENU in the top left corner and then choose the location on the left hand side. Make sure there is a media player connected to the location. If there is no media player connected click the "Connect Media Players" button.
- Is the screen location added to the screen group you are publishing to?
A screen group consists of one or more screen locations. If you publish objects in a screen group, the objects will appear on all of the screen locations added to the screen group. Verify that the screen location is part of your screen group by clicking Structure located in the MENU at the top left corner and then choose the screen group on the left hand side. Select the "Screen location" tab and make sure that the screen location is included in the screen group.
