Once you have installed your media player, it must be activated and linked to your PLAYipp Manager account. You do this through an activation code that appears on the screen, which you enter into your PLAYipp Manager account.
The activation code is only valid for two hours. After two hours it is replaced with a new code and the old code can no longer be used. You may then have to restart the screen or media player to get the new activation code.
Activating your screen or media player
Start by logging into your account.
If you do not have an account, you can create a demo account here.
If your organization already has an account, you need to ask your PLAYipp admin colleague to create a user account for you.
- Click Screens and select Add Screens
- Give the location of the screen a name and address.
The address is used to retrieve location data for certain widgets, such as the weather widget.
- Select the screen layout you want to use.
Choose from existing screen layouts or create a new one.You can read more about how to manage and create screen layouts here.
- Select the groups for your new screen location.
By grouping screen locations, you can easily ensure the same message to multiple screens. If you add multiple screen locations to a screen group, you only need to publish the message once to the screen group to automatically show it on all locations in the group.
- Activate the media player for your screen location.
Click ‘Activate new player’, and then enter the activation code that appears on the screen. NOTE! The activation code is only valid for two hours. After two hours it is replaced with a new code and the old code can no longer be used.
Now the media player is activated and will sync and download the content to the location of your choice.
