  • FAQ - My objects is locked with a padlock, how do i unlock them?

    "My objects is locked with a padlock, how do i unlock them?"

    If a object is marked with a padlock the object belongs to a screen group. And can't be edited in this location or group. You have to go the the group to be able to edit the object.

    1. Under the name of the object the name of the name of the group it displayed.
    2. You can altso hover the mouse on the objeckt for a shortcut to the group.

    If you don't hace access to the group you can contact your admin in PLAYipp to get access to the group.

  • FAQ - How do i edit a Quicknote in the playlist?

    FAQ

    "How do i edit a Quicknote in the playlist?"

    All The quicknotes that you have created can be easily edited afterwards.

    1. Click on the meny for the object and click on "Edit Quicknote."Screen_Shot_2017-12-18_at_10.52.52.png

    2. The Quicknote tool will start and you can edit your message.
      When you have made your changes click on Publish.

  • FAQ - The information on the screen won't update

    FAQ

    "I've added 2 new items to my playlist but these will not appear on my screen and old information I've deleted is still displayed. What can be wrong?"

    The following solutions can solve the above error:

    1. The playlist is not activated?
      When you publish or make changes to a playlist, you must activate it by clicking "Activate the playlist now", see the green border at the bottom. After clicking "Activate the playlist now" it will take at least one minute for the changes to appear on the monitor.
      If you do not click the button it may take up to 10 minutes before the changes to appear on the monitor.

    2. Does the media player have a working network connection?
      In PLAYipp Manager you can see if a media player dose not have any internet connection. You can see this if the symbol next to the MENU-button is lit and shows a number. Click on the symbol to see a list of all media players that do not have any internet connection.
      Troubleshoot your network connection by using one of our troubleshooting guides depending on the media player type. For all troubleshooting guides can be found here.

    3. Is a media player connected to the location you are trying to publish towards?
      Verify that a media player is connected to the location your are publishing on. You can verify this by clicking Structure located in the MENU in the top left corner and then choose the location on the left hand side. Make sure there is a media player connected to the location. If there is no media player connected click the "Connect Media Players" button.

    4. Is the location added to the group you are publishing on?
      A group consists of one or more locations. If you publish material in a group, the material will appear in all the locations added to the group. Verify that the location is part of your group by clicking Structure located in the MENU at the top left corner and then choose the group on the left hand side. Select the "Screen location" tab and make sure that the location is included in the group.

     

  • FAQ - The screen turns off after booting

    FAQ

    "After the startup phase of a media player the media player will reach the Health Status screen with the 3 circles and then it turns off"

    The following solutions can solve the above error:

    1.  Power Save mode is active on the monitor.
      If you have an active scheduling for power-saving mode, the screen will switch off itself.
      Control with the remote if any scheduling on the monitor is active

    2. The Power save mode is active in PLAYipp manager.
      If you have a aktive scheduling for power save mode in PLAYipp manager the monitor will turn of after the 3 circles is shown on the screen.
      Control that there is no active Power save mode scheduling active on the location inside PLAYipp manager.

    3. Media Player has no place and layout connected to it.
      For the player to retrieve and display the materials you need to connect it to a location and layout. 
      Control in menu > media players that there is a location and layout connected to the media player. Identify the media player using the macadress (you will find this on the media player and on the box)
      The macadress have the format xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx and consists of both numbers and letters. 

    4. Playlist is empty.
      Go to the location that the media player is connected to and control that there is active material in at least one area. 
  • FAQ - The screen don't receive any image signal

    FAQ

    "My monitor does't show any picture, it only shows a message that it can't find a soure or no signal"

    The following solutions can solve the above error:

    1. The screen is running, but the media player is not.
      (only applies to PLAYport and PLAYbox)
      Control that the Media player is switched on. It should be a led light that is lit. If no lights is lit try turning the unit of by unplugging the power cord and then reinstalling it.

    2. The picture cable is not connected correct.
      (only applies to PLAYport and PLAYbox)
      The cable between the media player and the monitor is not connected correct. Control that both connections are connected correct.

    3. The screen has a variety of image sources.
      Change the source on the monitor. To change source use the Input, Source, Or Menu -button on the remote. You may have to cycle through a few sources before finding the correct one. (e.g. HDMI1, HDMI2, etc.)

    4. The picture cable is defect.
      (only applies to PLAYport and PLAYbox)
      If none of the above solutions solves the problem the cable can be defective. It does't need to be any visible damage on the cable.
  • FAQ - The screen shows only picture "Why am I seeing this?"

    FAQ

    "When i start my media player the screen only shows the picture "why am i seeing this?" "

    At after the initial set up of the media player a this message can be shown. The message shows for one of the following reasons:

    "You haven't connected the Player to a channel"
    The most common reason for this message to show is that the media player is not connected to a screen location and layout in PLAYipp manager.

    1. Find the mac-adress of the Media player (it can be found on the underside of the media player and on the box)
      The Mac-adress have the format xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx and contains of both numbers and letters.

    2. Log in to your account and navigate to Media players from the menu.

    3. Find the media player from the list and click the edit unit (pen) to the right.
      (Tip: press CTRL+F / CMD+F to get a search bar in the webb browser)

    4. Choose the location and layout that i shall be connected to and then click save.

    "You haven't connected the Player to the internet"
    If the media player doesn't have a internet connection it can't sync the material that it shall show.

    1. Reboot the media player and see which colors the 3 circles in heath status are. If the circles are green the media player have connection to the internet.
